Kangana Ranaut launched Barkha Dutt’s book titled This Unquiet Land at The Oberoi in Mumbai. She looks stunning in a black strapless top and white skirt.
The leggy actress launched the book in presence of eminent politicians, media personalities and social commentators. Her presence added much star power to the launch.
Kangana looked sexy in the Sachin & Babi outfit. The large floral motif on the asymmetrical hemline of her black corset and the thigh-high slit on her textured white skirt made for striking highlights.
Styled by Ami Patel, Kangana polished off her look with shiny Louboutin heels. Apart from elegant stud earrings, the actress chose to skip accessories and jewellery.
Even when Kangana was photographed sitting in the audience, she maintained great poise and grace. Her short hairstyle, kohled eyes, minimal makeup, flawless skin and toned legs made for a sizzling frame.
Recently, Kangana attended a screening of Wazir. She dolled up in a maroon Burberry dress and Louis Vuitton heels. Her last movie to hit the theatres was Katti Batti opposite Imran Khan.
Milind Deora, Prasoon Joshi, Anil Dharker, Dolly Thakore, Nandini Sardesai, Shaina NC and Shekhar Gupta were among the important guests present at the book’s unveiling.
Most of them were photographed sitting in the same row as Kangana and were eventually called on the stage after the book was unveiled to everyone.
Kangana stepped onto the dais with former Union Minister of Finance, P Chidambaram to launch the book. She unwrapped Barkha’s book with him and presented it in front of the media.
After receiving warm words of welcome from Barkha, Kangana spoke passionately about women empowerment and her journey of being self-made.
Kangana also posed with Barkha after the book was unveiled. This is not the first time that the feisty actress has launched a book. She last launched Anupama Chopra’s book titled The Front Row in April 2015.
The highlights of Kangana’s conversation with Barkha included anecdotes of the actress being physically abused, her English accent and the feeling of being a liability on her parents as a girl child.
In spite of the launch being packed with distinguished guests, Kangana held her own through the event with confidence and finesse.
A discussion on acid attacks, feminism, fairness products and women-centric movies in Bollywood made for the crux of the event. Kangana last spoke about similar topics at the BBC Women in the World Summit in London which took place in London in October 2015.
Last spotted, Kangana attended the 27th Road Safety Movement in Thane with Arjun Kapoor. She looked sharp in a Madison top, black Victoria Beckham skirt, Miu Miu heels and Dior sunglasses.
