The dialogues of Sarkar (2005) and Sarkar Raj (2008) are menacing, pensive and insightful to say the least. This Ram Gopal Varma movie is undoubtedly one of the best Hindi films that he’s made in his career. It also marks awesome performances of father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan.
Many of the themes of Sarkar and Sarkar Raj are reminiscent of the Godfather series, with Amitabh Bachchan’s character of Subhash Nagre being akin to Don Vito Corleone. Call him the large-hearted don or the principled gangster, no one will able to forget this movie and the its iconic background track of “Govinda, govinda, govinda…” Here are some of the best dialogues from both the movies.
